Way before your time, when even dragons roamed the earth, somewhere in China a green snake-dragon had just laid two eggs. She flew off somewhere looking for food, but when she left something terrible happened! A robin or something flew on top of one of the green snake-dragon eggs and knocked it over into a volcano! Now you, the baby dragon, has to try to escape the volcano and make your way back home, and maybe make a few- mushroomy- friends along the way.

==================== ABOUT ====================

I went to a 5-day STEAM camp where we got to learn about making games, and although we didn't really learn much about Unity, we did learn the fundamentals to making a good game, such as world building, lore, gameplay design/mechanics, and modeling. We got into groups, and I was with Jamie, Ben, and Eamon. After being given the theme (Underground) and requirements (Must be a 3D platformer with static obstacles), we passionately worked on designing the game for hours.

By the end of the week we had made all of the assets, and everything looked great, but there was just one small issue. . . The game couldn't be played! Everything was saved online, so we could all work on the project individually if we wanted to, and I thought it would be easy to finish, maybe take 2 or 3 weeks at most. I've had a bit of experience coding in the past, so this couldn't be too hard, right?

2 months later, and I’ve gotten here. After many difficulties and frustrations, I  managed to pull through and complete one of the most challenging projects I have ever put myself to. It might not be the most incredible game to ever exist, but alas, here it is, Tiny Wing.  Please don’t sue us, Andreas Illiger (creator of Tiny *Wings*).

==================== CREDITS ====================

This game was designed by Eamon Cena,  Ben Ferguson, Jameson Kreir,  and Kyle Stelzer.

Code and Sound Design done by Kyle Stelzer. Music uploaded to Online Sequencer.

There is an easter egg hidden in the credits, and I forgot to mention it, but it uses dialogue from this video.

All 3D assets were made by humans using Block Bench.

==================== EXTRA STUFF ====================

This is my first *actual* Unity game, and it is certainly not the greatest thing to ever exist, but I also do believe that it isn't exactly terrible... I have had experience coding in C# from Arduino, and this also isn't my first time using Unity. However, this is the first time I have attempted to make a Unity project almost completely independently. I did phone a friend for some specific questions and used a little bit of AI assistance from Gemini and ChatGPT... Maybe not just a little bit, but I was basically just tossed into the sea and expected to swim with only a little bit of base knowledge (like navigating the engine's software, connecting some  stuff in the hierarchy to the C# code, ect.).

 Almost everything was a struggle, like every time I wanted to add something that should've taken 2 minutes, I'd have to watch a 10-30 minute video just to be confused. And this happened a *lot*, so making progress felt very slow at certain times, but I suddenly got to a point in the project where I felt close to being finished and just tried to push through to the end. I could see myself learning, however, and even though it took a really long time, I noticed I was able to solve problems on my own, and things started to feel more and more intuitive.

This game took about 15 minutes to complete for a play tester, and I was able to do a 100% speed-run it in sub 3 minutes, so it is pretty short.
